KRAKEN Limited edition print

KRAKEN Limited edition print
Nautical themed - kraken Lino print. Printed in ‘Plum black’ oil based inks on kitakata green Washi paper
— LIMITED EDITION — of 10
ARTWORK:
The illustration depicts an encounter with a woman and the legendary Kraken. The style is inspired by vintage SciFi comics / Early Arts and Crafts.
SIZE:
This is a large print - Paper is hand torn with deckled edge - Approx size 49.5cm x 40.6cm (19.5" x 16")
METHOD:
This Large print was designed, drawn, and carved onto linoleum by hand. Traditional oil based printing ink is then applied using a soft roller.
I place high quality Washi paper on top of the lino and the image is transferred by ‘burnishing’ with a wooden spoon.
The paper is Awagami Washi in Kitakata green. It’s a thin but very strong traditional Japanese printing paper made from renewable natural plant fibres. The printed side has a very subtle sheen.
PACKAGING :
Due to the size of these prints, they are wrapped in acid free tissue paper and placed in reinforced cardboard tubes for delivery.
SHIPPING:
UK orders - via First Class Signed For
Europe / Rest of World – via standard Airmail
The manual nature of this printing technique means each print may vary slightly in colour and texture.
I hope you love your print, but if you have any issues, just let me know and I’ll do my best to help.
Thanks,
Anthony
